Fez at Serendra

To celebrate one of my close friends coming to visit Manila, we decided as to have a mini reunion of with my college friends. As usual, there was a dilemma on where to eat. It was a good thing that Kit suggested that we try Fez at Serendra, a place which was unfamiliar to most of us, but turned out to be just the right choice.

Fez is one of those places whose decor is reminiscent of an Irish pub (or at least my notion of it) - cozy and intimate interiors, wooden paneling and a large selection of liquor. Serving a fusion of Mediterranean food with a Moroccan twist, Fez is a great place to wind down after a hard day's work with good food and a night cap, or two.

Fez Pita Hummus - Mutabal

Pam Says: Yummy, flavorful and light. Perfect as an appetizer.

Stan Says: Though, it felt like eating a lot of air, it tasted delicious together with the dip. And we got some of it as complimentary. Thanks to the owner of Fez.

Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich

Pam Says: I love herbed potato wedges, so this is also a winner for me.

Stan Says:
Hmmm... I think I didn't get to try this, but the presentation was done well.

Cheese and Chorizo Pizza Pita

Pam Says: Just OK, reminds me of quesadillas.

Stan Says: Yeah, it looked like quesadillas, but I'm not a fan of it. The melted cheese looks tasty, but it just didn't fit my taste.

Chicken and Mango Salad

Fez Fish

Pam Says: Stan's order. This was good also but not spectacular. I would probably try this with the potato wedges for some fish and chips.

Stan Says: I would have to say that the fish itself was just ok, not something spectacular. But what made it really delicious was the cheese sauce that came with it. The creamy cheese sauce got my attention.

Stan Says: The price of the food was just right, considering the location and the type of food. Prices averaged from 200-300 pesos for the main dishes. The ambiance fit the nice cool breeze outside the night. They also had some seats outside. The space inside the restaurant was just small, and maybe better if it could add more seats inside to accommodate more people.
