Binondo: The Alternate Route to Chinatown
Public transportation in Manila can sometimes be cramped, slightly dirty and dangerous when it's late. During rush hour, the trains, buses and jeepneys are not for the faint of heart (or those who are easily pushed around, for that matter). Enter the Pasig River Ferry Service, which we along with some friends decided to take on our trip to Binondo.
The Pasig Ferry, popularized and romanticized by the Bea and John Lloyd movie, Miss You Like Crazy, is a pleasant alternative to public transport. We took the ferry at Hulo station (near Robinson's Pioneer), there's a long interval between trips but it was okay because the waiting area was not crowded and clean.

Ramen Bar
I've been hearing a lot of good things about Ramen Bar from friends as well as rave reviews from other food blogs I follow. So one Sunday night, my family and I decided to try what has been hailed as one of the most authentic ramen restaurants in Manila.
Saporro Miso Ramen
Miso infused Tonkatsu ramen topped with tamago, naruto, negi, chasyu, butter and corn
Ramen Bar is located in Eastwood, but it's a bit tricky to find because it's not located in the mall but behind outside behind some of the stores on the ground floor. Ramen Bar's location didn't seem to deter customers from going there though since we were greeted by a long waiting line when we got there. Apparently, we weren't the only ones who've heard about this place.
