Conquer the Sandari Forest Reserve this Summer

Quench your thirst for the outdoors at the Sandari Forest Trekking Adventure, an educational family fun-trek on at Sandari Batulao in Nasugbu, Batangas ongoing on all Saturdays of this summer starting March 5.

The fun-trek is open to all outdoor enthusiasts aged 12 and up and features a two-hour trail that showcases the rich biodiversity of the Sandari Forest Reserve as well as the unique variety of flora & fauna endemic to Batulao. A forest guide will be on hand to facilitate the trek, provide information about the plant life within the habitat and help maintain the safety of the participants.

Sprawled near the famed Mount Batulao, the Sandari Forest Reserve is home to a variety of plant species that range from low-lying shrubs to gigantic century-old trees. These include imposing and magnificent Balete trees to the very useful Banaba which boasts of numerous medicinal benefits such as treatment for diabetes and management of weight loss. Flowering plants and fruit-bearing trees are interspersed in the high-density growth of greens, providing color, diversity and beauty to Sandari’s ecosystem.

Aside from its aesthetic merits, this lush forest also contributes to the cool climate at Sandari Batulao. This, coupled with the property’s proximity to Nasugbu Bay, assures that Sandari Batulao is blessed with refreshing, gentle breeze the whole-year round.

After the forest adventure, participants can also go on a food-trip via some authentic Asian flavors at Bawai’s Vietnamese Kusina located inside Sandari Batulao. Or they may choose to have a cozy family picnic at the View Deck where they can enjoy their hearty lunch under the picnic tents while gazing at the picturesque view of Mt. Batulao. Adventurous ones can sample the more economical home-cooked Batangas fare at the roadside eateries near the Evercrest Golf Course and along the Tagaytay-Nasugbu Tourism Highway.

Set within 800 hectares of lush greens and undulating hills at the foot of Mt. Batulao, Sandari Batulao is envisioned to be a mountainside self-sustaining community where residents and guests experience a laid-back lifestyle marked by a genuine respect for the quiet life and the natural environment. It is being developed by Citystate Properties and Management Corporation headed by former Philippine Ambassador to Laos Antonio L. Cabangon Chua and his Singaporean partners.
